Hormone Optimization

Aging is hormonal decline. Choose Marshall for safe, quality, science-based care!

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)

Both men and women begin noticing the effects of aging as early as in their early 30’s. It is no coincidence that these physical signs manifest as their hormone levels begin to fluctuate or decline. Hormones play a critical role in our physical and mental well-being. Marshall recommends having a discussion with one of our medical anti-aging experts about hormone optimization and whether it is right for you.

Hormone Pellet Therapy for Men and Women

Dr. Mullins and his team have performed thousands of pellet procedures. The procedure, when done correctly, has many advantages for both men and women. Men and women alike regain their libido, their mojo, their energy. Men and Women begin to sleep better, have less mental fog, have fewer depressive symptoms, and notice changes in their skin, muscle tone, fat deposits, and their hair. Marshall performs more pellet procedures than any other medical clinic in central Kentucky.

Pellets are free of peaks and troughs.

Hormones are released at a near constant rate, mimicking the physiology of your younger years.

Pellets respond to your lifestyle. Hormones are released more readily during periods of exercise or stress – when your body needs it most.

Pellets are convenient.

The effects of pellet therapy last upwards of 3-4 months, allowing for more free time for work, travel, family, and entertainment.

Growth Hormone Deficiency (HGH)

As we age, the amount of growth hormone secreted by our pituitary gland naturally declines. Men and women begin experiencing declines in growth hormone production by age 30. By age 50, blood levels of growth hormone are one-third to one-half lower than they are in people ages 18 to 35. This drop also coincides with the reduced muscle mass and increased body fat that happens with aging. In fact, many of the objective signs of symptoms of aging can be attributed to hormonal decline, in particular growth hormone decline. Many Men and Women are introducing HGH to their aesthetic routine, as the treatment results in thicker, more elastic, voluminous tissues and plays an adjunctive role in cosmetic filler procedures and skin health maintenance.

Growth Hormone administration has been replaced with the much more physiologic and side-effect reduced Peptide Therapy.

Thyroid Hormone Deficiency

Thyroid Hormone Deficiency (underactive thyroid) is a common endocrine disorder. Symptoms oftentimes are overlooked by both patients and providers alike for years before stumbling upon a diagnosis. There are many causes of hypothyroidism and not everyone responds equally to the same treatment regimen. Mainstream medicine uses, almost exclusively, synthetic Synthroid (T4). Many patients respond incompletely or not at all to this traditional treatment. If you have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism or are experiencing one of more of the common symptoms, consider a consultation with Marshall. If you are responding poorly to your current regimen, consider a consultation with Marshall.

Common Symptoms include:

  • Sluggishness
  • Weight Gain
  • Cold Intolerance
  • Depression
  • Mental Fog
  • Hair Thinning
  • Skin Dryness
  • Thinning Brows
